diagramming architectural principles

For this project, we are instructed to form a group of 5-6 but we proceeded the project with 4 in a group because there weren't enough people. We are assigned to buildings and the its architects to do research on by our tutor. We were tasked to do a case study on Wooden Cabin on Stilts by Atelier Marko Brajovic, utilizing architectural diagrams and produce 1:50 scale drawings of the building and site. We then need to translate the 2D architectural diagrams into 3D with model making.

reflection

This project was a great one to start the semester as I got to learn a lot of things that I would utilize in my upcoming projects, for example, architectural diagramming and detailed drawings. Architectural diagramming were especially important in this project as it will be essential in future projects. I also learned the structure and how the building was constructed so it was quite interesting. Our team only has 4 people compared to the others, which has 5-6 people. This caused the increased workload when shared among the team members so we all had much more to do but, fortunately, our group completed the project on time. I think we could've done this project much better if we had communicated with each other well and be more efficient because there were times that no one would take initiative, such as assigning tasks and hence, our progress got held back. Working as a team in this project has made me aware of the issues we had as a team, such as, communication, time management and responsibility. It was a useful lesson for me as I took note of the issues we had and I made sure these issues will not arise when working as a team in the future.
