project 2
passive green building strategies report
integrated with ADIV project.
For this project we are tasked to create a A3 report for our Architectural Design final project on the green strategies implemented in the project and critically analyze them in site planning, day lighting, façade design, natural ventilation and strategic landscaping through textual information, sketches or architectural diagrams. An A4 reflective write-up for the green building site visit is also required which includes analysis and spatial experiences of the visited building.
reflection
After finishing this project, I have gained a deeper insight on the green strategies and how to implement them into my design projects through thoughtful passive design with considerations on site planning, day lighting, façade design, natural ventilation and strategic landscaping of the project. I was able to utilize the knowledge on green strategies learned from project 1 and seamlessly integrate them into my architectural design project as part of its green strategies. With this project, I am now able to know what to consider when designing green strategies for my future design projects which is especially useful as the need for adaptable sustainable buildings are ever increasing due to global warming and climate change.
TGCs acquired
Discipline Specific Knowledge
Able to apply knowledge and theories in green strategies learned from project 1 to this project.
Lifelong Learning
Able to utilize information on green strategies gathered online and from lectures to implement into my Architectural Design project.
Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
Able to think critically to come up with green strategies to implement to my design project through careful considerations on site planning, day lighting, façade design, natural ventilation and strategic landscaping. Issues with my design were identified when consulting tutor and I was able to come up with solutions for it.
